2008 Request for Proposals
Research proposals for 2008 are now being accepted. Proposals will be evaluated based on the listed priorities. Researchers may be requested to give a presentation at the WBC meeting on January 23, 2008 in Puyallup. Proposals to fund research on Washington should be submitted to the WBC Office by December 10, 2007. Decisions on funding will be made at the January meeting of the Commission. Proposals may be submitted by public or private researchers.
A copy of the Request for Proposal and examples of successful proposals are available on the WBC web site at http://www.wablueberrycomm.org. Anyone needing assistance in preparing proposals is encouraged to contact Alan Schreiber at Washington Blueberry Commission, 2621 Ringold Road, Eltopia, WA 99330, 509-266-4300 or aschreib@centurytel.com. It is recommended that requests for assistance occur in advance of the proposal deadline. Indirect and overhead costs are not allowed. Project requests are limited to a maximum of five pages. Include the mailing, email addresses and phone number for the principal investigator and any co-principal investigators.
Research Priorities (Not prioritized)
Progress reports in electronic format are due for all research funded by the WBC for 2008 no later than December, 2008. The Commission requests any information on the practical and economic impact of each project to be included in the Progress Report.
